Not long ago, I wrote and recorded an original song called “The Greatest” and paired it with a video featuring some of the most iconic attractions in San Francisco.

I’m not a videographer, so this was a fun exercise in something new. I shot all the 4K clips in San Francisco in the summer of 2023 with an iPhone 14. I decided not to use my Nikon DSLR partly because I wanted to keep things simple and also because I didn’t really know what the hell I was doing.

Not trying to win any film awards, I’m satisfied with the end result. My ultimate goal, besides having some visuals for the music, was to showcase the beauty of San Francisco that still exists despite the national media narrative. Yes, there are serious problems taking place in the city (as there are in many major cities around the world), but the beauty that defines SF still remains.
